Oliver Ames Governor of Massachusetts

Oliver Ames (February 4, 1831 – October 22, 1895) - Brother Ames was an honorary member of Columbian Lodge. He served in public office first as Lieutenant-Governor of Massachusetts from 1882 to 1886, and then from 1886 to 1888 as Governor of Massachusetts. The town of Oliver, Nebraska bears his name.
