What happens behind closed doors?

Columbian Lodge is well known for an impecable attention to detail when it comes to performing our ritual and floorwork. Our Officers meet at least one additional night per month to practice the upcoming meeting's work, and occasionally discuss the more esoteric, deeper meanings of the work we practice.

Lights, Camera, Action... "Behind Closed Doors"

We were honored to have Ms. Shayna Seymour and the Channel 5 Chronicle HD WCVB TV team within our doors for the opening of the Lodge on March 5th, 2009. The Officers and Members of Columbian Lodge for the First Fraternal visitation by the District Deputy Grand Master, Robert V. Jolly, Jr.  were feature in the one half hour program in the subsequent broadcast. Ms. Seymour was graciously escorted without the lodge room prior to the closing of the doors to a round of applause. The featured segment re-enforced our viewpoint of a fraternity strong in culture, generosity and moral strength.

A Public Installation of Officers:

Every second year, in the month of December,  a public ceremony for the installation of our Officers occurs. The newest elected and appointed Officers are joined by members and invited family and friends to partake in this solemen service and witness the oaths and activity to bring the leadership of the lodge to a one year term.  The event may have addresses by Distinguished Masons and the vision of the newest elected Worshipful Master.  After the event, all join to partake in a dinner and entertainment on or off site.
